At CORE we want to empower and encourage you to activate your gifts so that our vision at CORE can become a reality.
God has created each one of us with unique gifts and talents, which he has given us to use for his glory. It’s as we activate our gifts that we understand more fully all we have in Christ and realise the privilege and blessing of serving the King.
How to get involved
The variety of activity in the life of the church is so wide there really is something for everyone to be involved in. You might know exactly where you’d like to get stuck in or you might have no idea! Have a look through the website, at the list below and chat to people at CORE to see how you can be part of what God is doing here.

Volunteering Opportunites
Stuff on a Sunday!
| Welcome Team | At each Sunday service the welcome team is there to meet, greet and steward those coming to church, especially those who have just started attending CORE or are visitors. |
| St Catherine’s Team | Duties include opening and locking up church entrances, ensuring fire exits are accessible and cleaning up around the outside of the church so the building is safe and welcoming for those coming to the Sunday services. |

All the Sunday teams operate rota systems and commitment is generally one service a month.
Hospitality
| Catering and Serving | This really important area of service is where many hands definitely make light work! We hold a wide variety of regular and occasional events that require catering in its many forms from coffee and cake to breakfasts, barbeques and three course meals! Whether you’re a cordon bleu chef or just have a pair of willing hands, there’s a place for you and it’s a great way of getting to know people. |

| Event Set Up | Easter and Christmas celebrations, Collide events and other large scale social and outreach activities require set-up (and take-down) teams to transform the church. |

Administration
| If you have a gift in administration, are computer literate and have some time available Monday to Friday, we’d love to hear from you! Volunteers lead many of the ministries in the church and administrative support is invaluable for these leaders, enabling the ministries to continue to grow and develop. You might find yourself involved in all kinds of unexpected activities! |
