Paddy Heron heads up Kidz Klub, but it could not happen without the commitment and support of a whole team of volunteers.

Senior Leaders

These are adults who help run the Klubs on Saturdays and visit the children who come to the Klubs at their homes during the week. We follow Safeguarding Trust good practise, therefore every volunteer has references checked, is interviewed, attends appropriate training and undergoes the Garda vetting procedure.

Wanna be part of the action?!

The number of kids who can join us on a Saturday is dependant upon the number of Senior Leaders that we have. If you have a heart for the children of inner city Dublin and are excited by what we do at Kidz Klub please contact Paddy to find out about coming to see the Klub in action and the variety of ways in which you could get involved: weekly or fortnightly, during the week or on a Saturday.

If you enjoy working with teenagers you might want to get involved with the monthly Saturday night club we hold for our Junior leaders. This is run like a small group with games, food, teaching and lots of interactive discussion.

There’s loads of opportunities and we’d love you to join the team!

As with all children’s ministries in CORE volunteers will be asked to go through the Safe Guarding Trust recruitment process. For more information on what this involves please click here

Junior Leaders

We aim to increasingly give responsibility and ownership of the clubs to the young people themselves. We therefore encourage the children who faithfully attend the clubs to become junior leaders when they reach secondary school age. These Junior Leaders are positive role models and play a vital part in ensuring the smooth running of the clubs.

Youth Achievement Awards 2006

Last November some of our Junior Leaders were recognised for their positive contribution to the community through Kidz Klub by SWICN (South West Inner City Network) and were awarded with a certificate presented by Brian Lenihan (Minister for Children) at the Youth achievement awards event held at CORE.
