Equipping the Saints - Alpha Training Evening Sun. 7th November 7-9pm

This coming Sunday evening we are holding an Alpha Training evening as part of our Equipping the Saints evenings. Paddy Monaghan of Alpha Ireland will be coming along to share about Alpha Ireland and to equip us to run an Alpha Course here in CORE. The Alpha course is a 10-week course that is open to everyone interested in discovering what Christianity is about and is designed primarily for those who are not churchgoers.
The evening is open to anyone considering helping out with our Alpha course next Spring or anyone who would like to find out more about Alpha. We are still looking for more people to join our Alpha team so please come along if you think this is something you might be interested in doing.
If you are unable to make this evening but are interested in helping with Alpha please contact Amy at pa.corechurch@gmail.com or on 01- 4735100.

Just for Girls Evening Review

Just for Girls Evening Review

This month’s Just For Girls evening session came in the form of a worship night at Kathryn’s. About 15 or so of us gathered to a fantastic welcome of tea/coffee and lots of cakes. After an interesting (and non-threatening) ice-breaker, we enjoyed a time of worship. Then Kathryn shared a bit about her journey and how God’s been working in her life recently which was encouraging and inspiring for us all. We then had some worship music playing while we took some time with God individually to listen to what He might be saying to us; after which we prayed with each other in small groups of 2 or 3. It was a great opportunity to take some time out of our busy schedules to worship and pray and enjoy fellowship with each other. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the night – Helena Goss

Innovista Ireland Information evening review

Innovista Ireland Information evening review

Innovista is a Christian organisation dedicated to identifying and equipping Christians in their 20s and 30s to be missional leaders in the places they live and work. On Monday evening Jason Lane (the founder of Innovista International) shared stories of how God is using young leaders Innovista are training and investing in across Europe and Eurasia. These include a 19-year-old girl leading an underground church of 200 in a Muslim country. Here in Ireland Innovista provides training for young leaders through a leadership development programme and partnerships with local churches.
