KINGDOM LIVING

KINGDOM LIVING

A series of talks looking at how to live our lives today as part of the Kingdom of God, as seen through some of Jesus’ stories.
“Over the Sunday evening services in February and March we will be doing a sermon series called Kingdom living. In this series of talks we will be looking at how to live our lives today as part of the Kingdom of God, as seen through some of Jesus’ parables in Matthew 13. The 7 parables in Matthew 13 are a great help in revealing the Kingdom of God to us and serve to help us understand in a practical way the most important statement of Jesus, when He said “The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you. We hope to teach into these 7 fantastic parables and apply what we learn about the Kingdom of God to our lives. As always we will encourage testimonies and participation as much as possible and we will also be having the café after church.”

Haiti Update

Haiti Update

Recently Peter Gannon – a member of CORE church and a man with a passion for Haiti – spoke about the devastation and tragedy of the effects of the recent earthquake in Haiti. The church was then encouraged to pray for and give financial support to the relief efforts ongoing in Haiti through the Christian development organisation TEARFUND. Tearfund emergency response teams have been responding to the disaster. Broken bones from falling masonry are among the main injuries doctors and nurses are dealing with. World Relief has been working in Haiti for 15 years, partnering with local churches on health projects and micro-enterprise schemes.
If anyone would like to know more about giving to Tearfund please go to their website www.tearfund.ie and if you would like to know more about Peter’s project please contact the office.
