Liberties Flea Market Review & Sale of Work 9th July

On Sunday we had our first (of what may be many) stall at the Dublin Flea Market in Newmarket Square, Dublin 8. There was a great atmosphere and a lot of fun had by all at the market, the sunshine and bargains helped! Thanks so much to all those who helped out both beforehand and on the day. Our stall looked great, thanks to the creative Klimeks and all who gave us stuff to sell! We raised a total of €337.79 and have plenty more goods to sell on at our next event!
Our next event is a Sale of Work on Saturday 9th July. Some ladies from the community are holding a Sale of Work from outside the church and we have the opportunity to take part and raise some more money. We are going to be selling tea and coffee, giving away lots of cakes and buns and selling the rest of stuff collected for the flea market. To make this happen we need your help in a few ways:
a) By baking some cakes, buns etc. that we can give away for a donation on the day.
b) By donating books, DVDs, clothes, homeware etc. to be sold.
c) By coming along on the day to serve tea and coffee and man our stall!
If you are able to do none of the above we would still love you to come along on the day, mingle with the locals and maybe even buy some bargains!! If you are interested talk to Amy or Paddy on Sunday or email James at james@corechurch.ie.
Maracycle Review by James Reid

“Saturday morning saw approx. 700 people on bikes leave from DCU heading to Belfast. The day was reasonably calm, dry to start, overcast. The event was well organised with plenty of rest stops. It rained gently in the middle of the day. There was a mandatory rest stop in a little village called Lisalea, north of the border where tea and sandwiches were provided. Afterwards the rain stopped and it was a pleasant journey into Belfast. Journey time on day one was 9 and a half hours! Sunday morning was overcast, windy but warm. The toughest part of the ride was the first 40km to Scarva cycling into a headwind of F4+. That wind stayed with us the whole way down leaving us exhausted! Journey time on day 2 was 11 hours. Thanks you to everybody who supported both through prayer and with donations. So far a total of €665 has been raised to be split jointly between Co-operation Ireland and C.O.R.E.” If you would still like to sponsor James click here: http://www.mycharity.ie/event/james_reids_maracycle/
CORE Kids Summer Break –Calling all Parents!!
![]()
Summer holidays have nearly come around again and as we do each year we are giving our CORE Kids volunteers a much needed summer break! This Sunday 26th June is the last week of kids classes! So from next week we will have activity packs, some games and a DVD set up down in the crèche and back tower room for the kids. This space will not be supervised so parents are responsible to keep an eye are their kids! We love having the kids being part of our worship and are asking parents to encourage their kids to be part of this time, especially the older ones! We also ask parents to ensure that their children don’t go onto the balcony during or after the service. Thank you for your help in making this summer break run as smoothly as possible! – CORE Kids Team.
