Kidz Klub
![]()
Kidz Klub is a dynamic and powerful ministry presenting the love of Jesus to children between the ages of 4 and 12. Designed by Bill Wilson of Metro Ministries, Kidz Klub runs successfully in over 400 cities worldwide, and has been running in Core for the last 9 years.
We believe passionately about our vision: “TO SEE ALL THE CHILDREN OF INNER CITY DUBLIN KNOW THE TRANSFORMING LOVE OF JESUS AND CHOOSE TO LIVE FOR HIM.” Through the one hour energetic programme of games, a praise party and powerful teaching time the children are encouraged to choose God’s way and practically live it out in their daily lives. Every child is highly valued and receives a personal visit at home each week by one of the Kidz Klub team.
Kidz Klub takes place in CORE, St. Catherine’s Church, Thomas Street at 11:00 and 2.00 every Saturday during the school term. If you would like more information, or are interested in presenting Jesus’ love to children of inner city Dublin, contact Paddy Heron (0872919590)(473-5100) paddy@corechurch.ie
FREE VOX MAGAZINE

After our next two Sunday services we will be giving away free VOX magazines! VOX magazine was started as a partnership between Evangelical Alliance Ireland, OM Ireland and Oasis of Love Ministries.“Our vision is to see Christians in Ireland informed, inspired and equipped to engage with one another and with Irish society,” shares magazine editor Ruth Garvey-Williams.“We want to take a close look at what is happening here in Ireland and ask some challenging questions. We also want to share and celebrate the good news that God is at work and lives are being transformed.“VOX (Latin for voice) is designed to give a voice for Christians in Ireland from many different types of churches and backgrounds. It is a place for us to share and debate, to encourage and challenge one another and to explore what God is doing in this nation. In giving is away free it is hoped that it will increase readership and get the word out there. So a big thanks to all at VOX and happy reading!
HUNGRY FOR HAITI

In response to the earthquake in Haiti a few friends from MOMENTUM and beyond have come together to try and raise money for the survivors and also awareness of their suffering. With over two hundred thousand people dead and over a million homeless it is hard to understand the magnitude of the disaster in Haiti. Through a very small gesture of inconvenience we are trying to engage with and appreciate their suffering and at the same time raise desperately needed finance. All those involved in the event want the beneficiaries of our efforts to know that we are aware of their hardship and stand with them.
The following are the main points for the event:
• What? Hungry for Haiti – 24 hour sleep out and fast (no food, just fluids)
• Who? In aid of Tearfund Ireland (www.tearfund.ie)
• When? 8pm Friday 19th February to 8pm Saturday 20th February
• Where? Top of Grafton Street
Tearfund Ireland support King’s Hospital in Haiti, one of the few functioning hospitals in Port au Prince, and have set up and supplied three operating theatres, staffed by American and Haitian surgeons, doctors and nurses. Also through their partners on the ground in Haiti, they are providing 9,500 people hot meals – rice and beans for lunch and porridge for dinner – every day. It is also working with local churches in the Carrefour area to provide shelter for nearly 6,000 people in the community. No administration costs will be deducted by Tearfund Ireland from any money raised for the Haiti emergency.

Haiti Update from Peter Gannon

Hi All. First of all many thanks to all in CORE for allowing me the platform to speak a few Sunday’s ago and also at Kids Klub. Very kindly €760 was contributed towards the school re building project. Since then there has been a huge ground swell momentum that has pushed me into zones and places I would otherwise not have gone or be in the process of going! I have spoken on Haiti on radio stations to papers to pub groups and schools and in many meetings with people who are more qualified and experienced … these things i did not go looking for… Yes I have been blessed with an ability to speak and no fear why anyone should! We all talk to God…! but like most require the quickening spirit to energise the words We are now building a web page, a complete stranger from Belgium dropped in my zone and very quickly offered much help..This happened 1 week before the earthquake! Please keep us in your prayers. If anyone has ideas or wishes to get more involved please do contact me at… peteractionclean@gmail.com . This is a brief summary, so if you would like the full version, please contact the office and James will send it on to you. Love Peter.
