CORE Kids on Sundays

CORE Kids on Sundays

Just a reminder to everyone that Christmas Day will be a family service and CORE Kids groups will resume in the New Year. Thank you so much to all our wonderful volunteers, have a great break and see you in the New Year! – Kathryn Kissell

Last Sunday – CORE Kids Christmas Play

Last Sunday – CORE Kids Christmas Play

A big thank you goes out to everyone who was involved in our Christmas Play last Sunday. We had a fantastic time! Lots of us had invited families we know and many parents who bring their children to our Mainly Music mums and toddler group on a Thursday also joined us so there was a great atmosphere of fun, laughter and slight mayhem! We told the Christmas story using passages from the Bible, a poem written by Bethany in Blaze, carols and songs played by our Blaze band and a nativity scene. We finished off with home-decorated cakes and presents for all our CORE Kids team who have helped out so amazingly this year. It was a wonderful start to the Christmas celebrations. – Kathryn Kissell.

Thanks to all of you who have already signed up and for those of you who haven’t yet please sign yourself and your friends up for the slots you are available on the online spreadsheet or email pa.corechurch@gmail.com. Kidz Klub Christmas Party last Saturday

Kidz Klub Christmas Party last Saturday

Our annual Kidz Klub Christmas party was a great success with 80 kids and around “” parents from the community there. We had great fun and games with the parents involved in a tug of war and a highlight was when the kids (with help from Batman and Robin) had to help us get the party bags back from the Nasty Viper (aka Peter Gannon!) The message that we taught on the day was “Come and See – A Saviour is born”. Thanks to all our volunteers who helped out on the day and to all those who help week in, week out at the Klub! – Paddy

Mainly Music – Can you help out?

Mainly Music – Can you help out?

On Thursday mornings from “” to 12 noon, we run Mainly Music for Mums and their
preschool children from the community. This involves half an hour of songs and rhymes followed by tea/coffee for the Mums and play for the children. It is a fantastic group. We currently have about “” families on our books as well as a waiting list. There are usually 25-30 families coming along on any given Thursday. We are finally getting to know some of the Mums better and they all love coming. However, Kathryn has been leading the music with Tricia’s support and we have already been working on a skeleton team. So we’re not sure whether we can continue come January. If we are to continue, we would need 4 or 5 new volunteers for welcome, admin, coffee, sound or music. Please let me know if you would like to help on a Thurs morning and please pray that God would make His will clear for us. Thanks, Helena (helenagoss@eircom.net)
