Easter

Easter

We had a wonderful time together at the Easter breakfast and family service.
The church was full.
The day began with breakfast followed by a family service with sharing communion,.
Thank you, to all those who helped setup and decorate on Saturday.
Also to those who produced and cooked the food; and to those who helped and made the whole breakfast event run so smoothly!

Bingo

Bingo

Over the past few months we have had small groups assisting with CORE Bingo. This has taken a couple of different shapes. Some have donated the prizes, provided the biscuits & buns or simply helped out on the night. One small group even did all three!

After doing this for a while we have found that we can run CORE Bingo with about 4 volunteers. It really makes a difference having the extra volunteers though. Not just in serving the gallons of tea, but getting involved in the chat & banter with the 35 or so people who regularly come into St. Catherine’s on the last Thursday of every month. The reports back from the small groups who have participated have been very positive. It’s a fun, relaxed atmosphere and a great opportunity to meet some of the people from the area.

There are 3 CORE Bingo sessions left before we finish for the summer.
The dates are April 29th, May 27th and June 24th. We begin setup at 6.30. The doors open at 7. The games start at 7.30 and we generally have wrapped up by 9.30 after setting out chairs for Kidz Klub.

Please consider using it as a once off activity that you can do as a small group. If your group is interested, let the Office know 01 4735100.
