Prizes for CORE Bingo

It happens to all of us at some stage. The Christmas gift that we’re not sure what to do about.
You know the ones: bubble bath when your apartment only has a shower, or that scarf that even though the label says ‘salmon’ is still pink and will never be worn in public.

Someone you know at work, in your small group or at home may have received such a pressie this Christmas.

CORE Bingo may have the answer. We are always accepting donations for prizes. Just drop them at the welcome desk at CORE clearly marked ‘CORE Bingo Prizes’ and we’ll give it a good home.

Bill Wilson started Metro ministries in New York City some 25 years ago.
It has grown to be the largest Sunday school in the world with over thirty thousand children attending each week!
He is a gifted and challenging speaker who was left on a street corner by his mother and it was three days before anyone picked him up.
He has dedicated his life to reaching out to disadvantaged children and doing whatever it takes to make sure they hear the gospel message.
He has been shot, stabbed and mugged on several occasions in the line of fire in New York City but has an amazing zeal for God and to see the gospel preached.

This is a great opportunity to hear Bill speak about his life and Ministry over the years.
I would highly recommend making the effort to hear him speak. There is no charge but there will be a collection during the evening to go towards the work of Metro Ministries in New York.

Congratulations: to David and Emily Morrissey on the birth of Joseph Timothy on Sunday 10th January weighing 9lbs. Mum and baby fine; Dad getting no sleep!

Congratulations to Helen Lloyd’s Daughter Jennifer on the birth of a baby girl on 12th January weighing 7lbs, 11ozs.

Prayer requests

• Please pray for Jon who is ill with suspected swine flu. Pray also that Zach will not catch it. We pray also for Kathryn at this difficult time.
• We pray Joy Ebbs who also is ill with suspected swine flu.
• Please Pray for Paul, Olivia, & Zoe as Olivia who is at the advanced stages of cancer.
• We pray for Joe Duddy who is just out of hospital; and pray that he will continue to get better. We also pray that he will find accommodation quickly.
• We pray for Paul that he will be accepted into Life Line.
• We pray for Mal Hunt as he recovers following a recent road accident. We particularly pray for the healing of his neck.
• Pray for the Mums & Tots and for Mainly Music as they begin again this term. We pray for the leaders and helpers that they would be refreshed and renewed in purpose.
