Calling all ladies!!

Calling all ladies!!

Are you looking to get into shape for the summer?? Do you want to raise some much need €€ for Kidz Klub and The Solas Project?? Well then look no further, join us and take part in the Women’s mini-marathon on 6th June 2011 at 3pm. This inspirational event is a fun day out for everyone when thousands of women take to the streets of Dublin, it’s a great way to raise some money and get to know more people in our congregation. We are looking for at least 20 women from the CORE community to take part. Participants must be over 14, you can run, jog, walk (or crawl if necessary!) the 10K.

So what are you waiting for??!! If you are interested please email me at clodagh.oreilly@hotmail.com to register your interest! We will have fitness tips, pre-race do’s and don’ts and hopefully have all the men in the congregation cheer us along on race day.

Review Evening of prayer and worship

Review Evening of prayer and worship

Last Wednesday night we met again as a church body to pray and worship. Our focus was particularly on the future of the church and decisions that have to be made around our new minister and the vision of the church. We gathered around representatives from the Trustees, the Selection Advisory Team and the Transition Team and prayed for wisdom and protection for them and their families at the significant and very busy time. We also asked God for words and pictures for the church and spent time of resting in him and his word.

New Wine Ireland – Sligo Summer Conference 10th- 15th July 2011

New Wine Ireland – Sligo Summer Conference 10th- 15th July 2011

The New Wine Ireland Sligo Summer Conference gives both individuals and churches the opportunity to be part of a big celebration of God’s goodness, generosity and grace. It is time to us to come together from different churches, different denominations, and all the different towns and villages of the island of Ireland to encounter God together. To learn through his Word and from his Spirit, be renewed to know him better, be healed and transformed in body, mind and spirit, get equipped to serve him in new ways, gain fresh vision from what he is doing elsewhere in the world. And to have great fun at the same time! – David and Hilary McClay
For more info on the conference see forms at the back of church or have a look at the website:

The deadline for the reduced price is 22nd of April so if you are interested in going try and book before then!

Prayer Requests and Thanksgivings

Prayer Requests and Thanksgivings

• Pray for Mary Finn who broke her ankle last week. Pray that the swelling goes down before medical appointment on Wednesday and that an operation won’t be needed. Thank God for His goodness and showing His love through His people, friends, neighbours and medics.
• Please pray that the right people will step forward to be part of a team to lead a newly formed youth group for those outgrowing Blaze in September.
• Continue to pray for Peter Gannon who is in Haiti at the moment, pray for protection over him and the team and that all will work out with delivering the goods from the container.
• One of our Kidz Klub Junior leaders has been getting migraines and has been to hospital for scans about it and has been off school because of them. Please pray for healing.
• Thank God for His ongoing faithfulness and grace to us as a church as we are journeying through this time of transition.

Prayer requests from Emma in India:

Prayer requests from Emma in India:

• Alpha – Our women are really enjoying the course and beginning to ask really good questions, “how can I break away from doing other ‘pujas’ when all my family expect me to….” The Holy Spirit is certainly touching their hearts. Pray for Prabiras he leads the course for wisdom and Godly inspiration each Saturday. Pray for our women, that hearts will be opened to receive and respond and a deep knowledge and belief that Jesus is ENOUGH
• New Relationships – As I walk in and out of Sonagachi each day, my face is more and more known among the women. My desire is that more and more relationships will be formed with these precious ladies. Pray for confidence in my language ability, open doors and times to stop and chat….
