Marriage refreshment Conference review

The marriage conference at the weekend was a welcome time-out from the busyness of life. Our husband/wife may be our best friend and the person we share our life with, but it is easy to neglect this most important relationship in the midst of schedules, work, family and all the other “good” things that fill our time. It was lovely to have the chance for a break away from children, work and the “to do” list to sit down with our better-halves and think about each other. Derek and Trish were down-to-earth and spoke from personal experience while having the wisdom and perspective of having been doing this sort of work over many years. They are very much in tune with God’s priorities and His heart for couples. There was a lot to take in, but we all seemed to come away with a couple of particularly relevant points. We have the workbook now that we can look back on as we think about, pray about and work through any issues that arose. As the parents of small children, we just loved being out together on a Friday night/ Saturday, being able to sit down together and chat together (uninterrupted) and having coffee/ lunch with other adults! A very welcome time-out that we would recommend for any couple.

It’s definitely a case of the more the merrier, so why don’t you come as a small group and see who knows the most verses to ‘Frosty the Snowman’.
Please let Roisin Ni Ceallaigh know you’re coming!
