4th Sept: Holy Communion Service: Craig Cooney – His Mission, our Mission – Luke 4:14-20.
Thank You’s

Craig and Becky would like to say a huge thank-you to everyone in CORE for making us feel so welcome so far. The work that all of you put into our ‘Introduction Service’ last Sunday helped make it such a special evening, not just for us, but for our family and friends from other places who attended. We very much appreciate all your service and support, and look forward to getting to know you better in the weeks and months ahead.
…and from the administrator:

A huge Thank you to all who baked, organised, painted, washed the front of the church or helped in any way in organising for Craig’s introduction night. Those who helped in the preparation, during the service and those who cleared up afterwards – your help was really appreciated and made for a great night! – James

We are delighted to welcome to our newest (and cutest) church member – Julianna Klimek, who was born on 16th August. Well done to new Mum and Dad, Marta & Lukasz. Keep them in your prayers in the coming weeks as they adjust to life as parents!
Changes at Kidz Klub
![]()
Hi Church, just in case you haven’t heard the announcements on Sundays. Kidz Klub is changing the day it runs to Sunday. The reason for this is that we are competing with every football club and majorettes group on Saturday. A lot of children over the years have said they would love to come but they have football or majorettes on at the same time as Kidz Klub so we are changing to Sundays to see will this increase the numbers.
We are also hoping it will make it easier for people from the church who would like to help out to do so. So please consider and pray about maybe helping out once a month with setting up for the club after church on Sundays, collecting the children from the local flat complex Oliver bond and also running the club. This is an amazing opportunity to bless the children and the families who live a stone’s throw from where we worship every Sunday. So please do let me know if you would like to come along even one Sunday to observe. God Bless and thank-you in advance.
Paddy Heron.
Solas Project Request – Do you have a spare room?
![]()
Solas Project is planning to take on an intern for a period of 11 to 12 months, potentially starting in January 2012. This is organised through ‘Agape Adventures’, which is a specialist gap year and voluntary service organisation and promotes and develops volunteering opportunities for people aged “” years and over. We are looking for a family or an individual who has a spare room and would be in a position to host the intern. Costs of food, utilities etc. would be covered. There would be no expectation to provide meals.
If you are interested, please contact Salla Heron for more information.

Living Water Nepal is an NGO set up in partnership with CORE 2 years ago to serve the water and hygiene education needs of people in different areas of Nepal. • Please keep Salla, Graham and Ann in prayer this week as Solas Project restarts with 2 afterschool locations, a new grinds programme, rugby in schools and more!
