“A Time Such As This” CORE Conference

A weekend to gather, to worship, to hear what God is saying to the church

Barry Kissell was recently invited to address a large gathering of leaders from all over London where he spoke about what happens when God’s people gather together and enter into the ‘Sacred Space’. In his address Barry spoke prophetically about what he saw to be God’s plans for his church.
The conference at CORE will explore this theme as God prepares his church for ‘a time such as this’.

Conference CORE Kids activities on Saturday & Sunday Saturday Session 10am —1pm
This will be run like the Summer Programme at CORE Kids, with a DVD and activities for all ages in the room at the back of church normally used for Fireflies on a Sunday.
This will be unsupervised.
Please bring a snack for your kids.
Sunday Morning 11am
This is a normal Sunday service with CORE Kids programme for all age groups

Hosted welcome lunches

We are having another “hosted welcome lunch” on the 4th October.
The primary aim of a hosted lunch is to provide an environment where new people can spend quality time getting to know established church members in a smaller group. So new(er) people would be invited to share lunch, in the homes of established church members.
This avoids anyone feeling overwhelmed by the number of people they have been introduced to, while still allowing them to fellowship.
We are hoping that this will prove a better way to help people to get to know us a church and therefore feel a part of our community.

Please contact the office if you would like to attend, or know of someone who would like to come. Please spread the word!

Mum to Mum Event

Saturday 10th October, 9.30am – 2pm

Mum to Mum is a new ministry at CORE for mums with kids of ALL ages. By using Facebook we are hoping to create an online community where we can keep in touch, support each other and organise fun stuff to do together!

On Saturday 10th October we have invited Trich Dodd (mum of two, grandmum of 3!) to join us at Emily Morrissey’s house for a morning of encouragement, laughter, sharing, prayer and ending with lunch. We would like to extend a really warm invitation for all mums to join us, whether you know lots of mums at CORE or none at all, you are really welcome.

The cost is €7 (which will be given as a gift to Trich) and to help us with catering please RSVP to Emily on 087 2774177.

The Facebook community will be launched at this morning, so if you can’t make it, but would like to join, please send an email to Emily at morrisseyem@gmail.com

• Kids Klub is going out into the community for the first time ever this week! You have been going out into the community for years I hear you say…..Yes but this is the first time we are running the club outside of Core. We are bringing Kidz Klub lock stock and barrel down the road to St Catherine’s sport centre this Sunday. The first club will run from 2 till 3 and the second from 4 till 5. It is a big step for us so please pray your socks off! especially during the time the club is running. We are trusting God but really don’t know how it will go.
