Mum to Mum Event

Saturday 10th October, 9.30am – 2pm

Mum to Mum is a new ministry at CORE for mums with kids of ALL ages. By using Facebook we are hoping to create an online community where we can keep in touch, support each other and organise fun stuff to do together!

On Saturday 10th October we have invited Trich Dodd (mum of two, grandmum of 3!) to join us at Emily Morrissey’s house for a morning of encouragement, laughter, sharing, prayer and ending with lunch. We would like to extend a really warm invitation for all mums to join us, whether you know lots of mums at CORE or none at all, you are really welcome.

The cost is €7 (which will be given as a gift to Trich) and to help us with catering please RSVP to Emily on 087 2774177.

Conference feedback: “A Time Such as This”

“The Spirit is willing, but the church is not prepared”.
This was one of the first things Barry Kissell said at our “Time such as this Conference”, last weekend. Over the weekend, Barry went on to build upon this theme and reminded us of the ministry of Jesus and how it is ultimately based on the Authority, Power and Revelation of God the father though Jesus , empowered by the Holy Spirit. We engaged in wonderful times of partaking in this ministry of Jesus, as we allowed God to move amongst us and for His presence to fall upon us and bring us forward in our walks with him. We had an especially powerful time on Sunday morning as Barry taught on how our fears, both inherited and learnt, can hold us back from fulfilling Gods’ true call on our lives, but that God’s perfect love casts out all fear.
Many folk responded to this and it was wonderful to see afresh, not only on Sunday morning but throughout the whole conference, the ministry of Jesus not only taught about, but also acted upon practically and see new fruits develop in our lives, fruits that will last.

Marriage Refreshment Conference

Time to Focus, Time for Each Other, Time to Build

We are delighted that Derek and Trich Dodd who run YWAM Family Life Resources, a ministry focused on strengthening and supporting the Family, are joining us to lead this conference.

Six seminars looking at different aspects of married life will give you time, and a wonderful opportunity, to focus on your marriage relationship and build towards it’s future. These seminars are based on Christian principles, but will be accessible and relevant for everyone, whatever your background.

Trich and Derek made what our friends say about marriage courses “as a meaningless tick the box exercise” into a wonderful preparation time; giving us a solid foundation upon which to build our marriage. Through their wisdom and humility Derek and Trich created an open and safe atmosphere where God could lead us to pray, to set aside and bring healing to the brokenness in our lives. We entered into marriage without the baggage that could have so easily hindered our relationship.

Whether you are married 20 years or are still in your honeymoon period, we would really love to encourage you to join us for this marriage refreshment conference. We all have areas in our married life that we are really strong in and areas which we find more challenging. Often the busyness of everyday life can mean that it’s difficult to find the time to focus on our marriage relationship. This Friday night and Saturday will be a real oasis that will encourage and refresh you both in your journey together.

Sound and Worship teams

We are running an “Introduction to Sound Engineering” on Sunday the 18th
October in CORE, from 3pm to 6pm.
Admission is free and we are looking for those who are interested in learning about sound and becoming part of the sound team.

The afternoon will consist of a hands-on overview of the basics of sound, the art of live-sound mixing and a look at digital recording & production.
