Hosted Welcome Lunches

Hosted Welcome Lunches

Over the last term we have been thinking about how best to do welcome lunches in the church, as it seems that doing a “mass” lunch for an hour in CORE for loads of new folk has not been as effective as anticipated. Having a one hour lunch for a large group has not provided adequate space or time to really chat with someone and help them link in to the church community. So we are going to try a “hosted welcome lunch” instead on the 28th June.

The primary aim of a hosted lunch is to provide an environment where new people can spend quality time getting to know established church members in a smaller group. So new(er) people would be invited to share lunch, in the homes of established church members. This avoids anyone feeling overwhelmed by the number of people they have been introduced to, while still allowing them to fellowship.

We are hoping that this will prove a better way to help people to get to know us a church and therefore feel a part of our community.

Please contact the office if you would like to attend, or know of someone who would like to come. Please spread the word!
