Aren’t Sunday Mornings great?!
Well, we at CORE church who are lucky enough to be aged between 12 and 16 drag ourselves out of bed and get to church for 11am. After staying in with the rest of the congregation for the musical worship, until around 11:30am, we then leave the main service and head up to the Epic room. This is where things really get going as we explore what it means to be a follower of Jesus in practical ways using the bible and games and object lessons (could be anything!). As this is our main weekly event we also use this time to catch up with each other, plan ahead and announce the upcoming events etc.
So, if you are in Secondary School and visiting CORE then make it your mission to come and join us!
Please note that, currently, Epic is not having their usual meetings on a Sunday morning but is instead joining with the congregation for the whole morning service. But watch this space for changes to the programme!
Family Services
Every second Sunday of the month is a Family Service so there is no Epic meeting during the service. Instead we’ll stay in the main service with the congregation and get stuck in there!
What’s it all about?
Our vision for Epic is:
- To see teenagers of secondary school age come to CORE, and have a real and positive experience of God through Jesus Christ.
- To see teenagers mature in their relationship with God and embrace the fullness of Christ in their lives.
- To see teenagers identify their own individual skills and talents and to provide opportunities for them to use these in community to serve and to benefit others in and out of church.
Getting Involved
