Prayer Ministry

Prayer Ministry

We want to be a church committed to welcoming the transforming power of the Holy Spirit to work in our lives so that by God’s grace we grow in Jesus’ likeness and character.

We offer prayer ministry at the end of each Sunday service for those who would like to be prayed with. This occurs at the front of church and the prayer ministry team who pray for these people are members of the church who have been trained and commissioned by the Minister-in-Charge. A male member of the team will pray with a man and a woman with a woman and the team will wear clearly marked name labels.

Prayer Ministry Training

Our intention is to equip all members of CORE to be able confidently to lead a person to Christ, to set free those tormented by evil, and to pray with wisdom and compassion for the sick.

We hold Prayer Ministry Training evenings roughly once a term, which start with worship followed by teaching, questions and practical application. After this those who attend can apply to join the ministry team. The understanding being that they will be prepared to minister twice a month or at times where there are special demands and to attend further seminars as appropriate.
