The Pastoral Team
The Pastoral Team is made up of those within CORE who exercise pastoral oversight within the church. This includes the ordained ministry and those who lead and co-ordinate In-Work ministries. The team meets regularly with the Minister-in-Charge to help develop the pastoral care within the Church.
Alongside the Pastoral Team we have a group of pastoral carers who are available for individual pastoral support.
Pastoral Carers
Small groups are the primary place for pastoral care at CORE. Our hope is that each member of CORE will be a member of a small group and thus be able to receive regular prayer, encouragement and support from peers and friends.
However, we recognise that sometimes issues arise in our lives where support is needed beyond what can be offered within the context of a small group. We are currently developing a pastoral care team who will meet with individuals for prayer and to provide support.
It may be that you are facing an issue that requires more in-depth counseling of a specialist nature. We are currently building a network of trusted and experienced external counselors and we would be happy to meet with you and refer you to someone who can help.
