CORE at St Catherine’s Church is situated on Thomas Street, Dublin 8 at the junction of Bridgefoot Street and James Street. This area, known as “The Liberties”, is at the heart of the oldest part of Dublin City with the remains of the medieval city walls, Christchurch and St Patrick’s Cathedral all a few minutes walk away. CORE is a 15-minute walk from O’Connell Bridge.

By car, or on-foot:
From the city-centre, proceed up Dame Street onto High Street, passing Christchurch Cathedral on your right. This leads directly onto Thomas Street and CORE is located 500 meters further on, on the left hand side.
Public Transport:
As CORE is located on the cross-city bus route, it is adequately served by public transport from both the north and the south of the city. Buses 123 (Marino – Drimnagh), 51B (City Centre – Grange Castle) and the 78A (Aston Quay – Liffey Valley Shopping Centre) all serve Thomas Street, stopping directly outside the church. The Luas light-rail system Red Line (Tallaght – Connolly Station) passes within a 15-minute walk of CORE. The nearest stops are at St. James’ Hospital, The National Museum of Ireland (Collins Barracks) and Smithfield Village. While Collins Barracks and Smithfield are on the north side of the river, they are still within walking distance of CORE.

Parking
There is no parking on-site at CORE; however there is ample on-street parking in the vicinity (Parking Map available shortly).
There is disabled parking for two vehicles on Earl Street South with entrance to the church via a side gate on St. Catherine’s Lane West. Please contact the CORE office (01 473 5100) in advance to arrange access.
Weekday Parking (Monday – Saturday)
Weekday parking is available in the multi-storey car park opposite CORE at €2.50 per hour, or €13.00 for all-day (07:00 – 19:00).
There is also metered parking on the surrounding streets (07:00 – 19:00) at €2.00 per hour, for a maximum of 3 hours. Street parking is free outside these hours.
Be aware that clamping is enforced rigidly in the area at all times.
Sunday Parking
Parking on Sunday is free in all the designated parking areas on the surrounding streets.
